Koditta Idangalai Nirappuga Story and Review
Koditta Idangalai Nirappuga has created much hype and expectation through Parthipan’s trademark promotion and marketing strategy. KIN is touted as comedy thriller, though it’s a family drama with romance, comedy and twists here and there. But it’s not an unusual story as the team says and audiences have seen several movies with similar pattern. If you would ask me, whether the film has Parthipan’s trademark storytelling, I would say yes, but that doesn’t will hold the audience tight as the story is very thin and predicable. Parthipan believed on a major twist that wasn’t revealed anywhere even in the trailer, but it didn’t help the movie as audiences are more smart than ever.
The film was all about Parthipan’s master plan of conning Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, who was a NRI, with the help of Parvathy Nair, an associate of Parthipan, pursues Shanthanu and loots his money.
Shanthanu Bhagyaraj was a rich NRI, and on learning Shanthanu’s intention, Parthipan decides to con him to make money out of his weakness. Parvathy Nair is a beautiful Malayali girl impresses all with her sizzling look and of course, makes Shanthanu fall for her. Parthipan was ambitious to earn money by all means that he plans for big alongside Thambi Ramaiah and Parvathy Nair. Parthipan provoke Shanthanu’s feelings for her and he apparently purses her. At certain point of time, Shanthanu realizes that he was being used by these people, and what happens next forms the crux of the story.
Simran has done an extended guest role in the movie. It seems comedy has not helped the movie as it reflects Thambi Ramaiah regular cliché, though it brings laughter here and there. Shanthanu has delivered terrific performance in the film which would be his best till now. The Kerala beauty Parvathy Nair has done her part very well, while there is no need to say about Parthipan as everyone knew about his signature performance. At some places dialogues were really impressive that hits hard on everyone and the current situation of India.
To sum, Koditta Idangalai Nirappuga tried to satisfy audience but the routine story failed to do so. Parthiepan touted KIN as the film with many mistakes, and as he said, the film has lot of mistakes.
